I recently downloaded an .iso image from Microsoft, and when I mounted the image with Gizmo Drive, the folder contained a single readme file that said the following:

"This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."

Any thoughts?

Hi Kirk,

This is a UDF/ISO hybrid. Unfortunately these came about after Gizmo Drive was released. The UDF format is most commonly used for DVD ROMs. Gizmo Drive currently emulates CD-ROMs and virtual hard drives only.

Have you tried renaming the file so that it has a .IMG extension? This would mount your UDF image as a virtual hard drive instead--letting the operating system take care of the rest. Which might work! Sadly I don't have a UDF/ISO hybrid to test this myself. I would suggest enabling the "Read Only" option when doing this.

Thanks,
Logan
