PDIARY caused an invalid page fault in
module MFC42.DLL at 019f:6c37f9eb.

since I registered Poacket Diary, I get this every time I try to
open a booklet. The help file says:

Please visit Microsoft's web page at
and search using libraries update as your keywords.
Then download the latest libraries update and
install it. This should solve the problem.

No joy there, a search at the listed site with
keywords given says:

No downloads were found that matched your search criteria.
Try searching again with different criteria, or look for downloads
using the category links at left.

I have nine MFC42.DLL files scatterd everywhere. The one in
windows/system is version 6.00.8665.0. That number is the highest
of the versions I have.

C:\Program Files\Iomega\Common\mfc42.dll is v. 6.00.8168.0
(I have an ATAPI internal ZIP drive. It works.)

others on the boot drive are V. 6.00.8665.0

I have the Win98SE CD-ROM copied on another partition.
There are two of 'em in that folder with V. 4.21.7160

in present state, program unusable. Mad

Uninstall and reinstall fixed it.

Curious, why would registering muck with DLL access?

Perhaps pdiaryl.exe needs a debug?
